Caister Point has long been one of the county’s favourite beaches, thanks to its soft white sands and stunning view over the North Sea.
Now the beach has been recognised as one of Britain’s best, after the Good Beach Guide gave it the top award for water quality. A spokesman for Waveney District Council told the Eastern Daily Press: “We are delighted that our wonderful beaches continue to get recognition for their excellent water quality.”
“Waveney takes great pride in having a number of beaches which attract thousands of happy visitors and this kind of survey reminds us all what great places they are to come to.”
Caister Point is one of the jewels of the east coast, and this award only confirms what many visitors already know: that when it comes to the old-fashioned joys of sand, sea and clean, safe water, Caister can’t be beaten.
