Live music and a beer and cider festival are being arranged in order to raise money for the Caister Lifeboat.
Commemorative pint glasses (each costing £2.50) are also to go on sale, displaying the Caister Lifeboat’s lifebelt logo. The bands set to play at the festival include Ormesby-based The Moondogs on Friday’s evening session from 6pm, and then a visit by Annie’s Jazz Friends for Saturday lunchtime. Then, there’ll be The Mighty Aardvarks and on Sunday there is a Father’s Day family day planned with Jon Buck and Richard Taylor, all to raise money for the Caister Lifeboat.
Last year, more than £4,000 was raised from the charity and it’s hoped to be beaten this year. The Caister Lifeboat Beer and Cider Festival runs from 6pm on Friday 13 June, from noon to pm Saturday 14 June and noon to 4pm on Sunday 15 June, in the lifeboat shed on Tan Lane/Beach Road car park.
