People often make the mistake of saying “Christmas is just for kids”. However there are a range of Christmas events in Caister to suit children and adults who want to get the most from the festive period!
There are a lot of things to enjoy about Christmas- the fantastic food, the presents and a general feeling of merriment. But for some people Christmas is the perfect time for a good old fashioned knees up and at the Vauxhall Holiday Park this weekend it is set to be a big weekend that is likely to see in the Yuletide period in style!
Inevitably there will be at least one person (usually older) who will bemoan the state of modern music and complain that the music of yesteryear was superior. Judging from the lineup at the Vauxhall Holiday Park Gold Weekender…they may have a point!
From the 5th to the 8th December there is the chance for you to dust off your disco gear, strut your stuff and generally party the night away. However this is not just your average disco- there is a number of top acts that are set to make this event extra special.
Bands and performers that are set to get people in the mood include PJ Proby and the Pacemakers, Paper Lace and Boys Next Door. But perhaps the biggest news that will get people who love this classic era of music excited is the headline act- the rumours are true, Herman’s Hermits are the headline act!
However this is just one example of the upcoming weekenders at the Vauxhall Holiday Park- Later events will include soul, glam, ska and beat, so the chances are whatever your musical tastes there will be something to get you geared up for the festive period. Away from the music (and if indeed you want to visit Caister but may not necessarily want to rock out 70’s style) the Reedcutters offers fine food in a relaxing setting while the Indoor Tropical Waterworld is an ideal place to work off the merriment of the night before or you can get in a round of golf at Caister Golf Club if you want to unleash your inner McIlroy. If you are bringing along the kids you may want to take them out to the local Thrigby Wildlife Park.
In short Caister is ideal if you fancy taking a break over the Christmas period. For more information about the Gold Weekender and other upcoming events click here
